Bennett, Earl-Consort of Dis, is the disinherited younger brother of Brin and Banion, husband of Lieke, stepfather of Gwenelle and father of Anciet

Years ago he ran away from home to travel the world and was subsequently disowned by his mother. He never returned before his mother died, as a result his siblings refuse to have anything to do with him, and the feeling is mutual.

If Elodie faces a vote of no-confidence during Week 17, Brin was either executed or made a commoner and Bennett is named Duke of Hellas, he will always vote on Elodie's favor. Truly, there is no love lost between the siblings.

If made into the Duke of Hellas, he will make an appearance during Week 28, diffusing an argument between Lieke and Gwenelle (and skipping a Conversation check). Gwenelle will also detail a bit of his backstory.

In early versions, Bennett had little more than a name and one appearance (during the vote of no-confidence). Later updates gave him another scene that expands upon his backstory and motivations (Gwenelle's party).

Trivia[]

  • He has the same portrait as his brother Banion, only mirrored and with changes in eye color and clothes.
  • It's hinted that he and Lieke married out of love. By the time they married, Bennett had already been disowned by his family and had no titles to offer, and Lieke's position as a Countess isn't considered much influential, making their marriage unlikely to be political. While they only interact in one scene, they seem rather affectionate and Bennett is able to defuse the argument between mother and daughter without much trouble.
  • As he became Gwenelle's stepfather shortly after her birth and raised her since, she considers Bennett to be her true father.
